From our new home base at 1317 10th St in Nisku, we look forward to meeting your excavator attachment needs now and into the future.
Compact and Powerful: Double Demolition Power in Downtown Vancouver
Sometimes the most effective tools come in the most compact packages! One of our demolition contractor customers was tasked with the step-by-step deconstruction of a high-rise building right in the heart of Downtown Vancouver this spring, and they needed their lightest excavators on hand to precisely pick apart layers of cement, wood, and rebar from the top level down. They used a ShearForce hydraulic hammer on a Volvo ECR40D and a ShearForce rotating demolition pulverizer on a Volvo ECR58D for a little over two weeks and finished this portion of their project ahead of schedule. Watch video of this dynamic demolition duo at work.
ShearForce Rents Expands Demolition Excavator Fleet
With the addition of two new branches in Alberta within the last two years also comes an upgrade to ShearForce’s rental demolition excavator fleet, available now across Western Canada for daily, weekly, and monthly rentals. Our line-up of CAT excavators ranges from 6 to 38 tons, and all our rental excavators are upfitted with demolition guarding and specialty plumbing to provide multiple auxiliary circuits, perfect for operating rotating pulverizers and hydraulic attachments. ShearForce Mobile Service | Meeting Your Needs Wherever You May Need Us
The ShearForce mobile service team doubled their capacity by adding a brand-new Ram 5500 service truck to its fleet this past fall! Featuring a 5,000 lb hydraulic crane and Miller EnPak multi-function welder/generator/compressor/battery booster unit, ShearForce Service is ready to save the day. Our new addition was proudly built by our team of upfitters in our work truck equipment division, Work Truck West, because we don’t just build awesome work trucks, we use them too! Our own sales coordinator Shawn Vandersluis even designed the new truck decals, making these trucks a true team effort and reflection of our team values and culture.
New Simex Screening Bucket Solid Solution for Separation
Simex introduced the new VSE screening bucket last year and customers are loving the easy adjustment capabilities right from the operator cab. Even when material was wet and likely not possible to screen with traditional screener designs, the adjustable output makes the VSE buckets a lot more versatile and productive than the traditional screening bucket technology. Watch video of the new VSE screening buckets at work!
Xcentric Ripper XR32 Ripping in Sandstone | Balzac/NE Calgary Alberta
Watch new video of the Xcentric Ripper XR32 hydraulic ripper excavating sandstone or Type B rock in Balzac northeast of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In an area that is notorious for frustrating attempts at digging and excavating, the Xcentric Ripper produces vibrations that shake the material to deepen cracks for easier breakup. The ripper tears through massive chunks of very compacted sandstone, the production rate was unprecedented! Check out this can’t-miss excavation action now!
New ShearForce Large Hammers Make a Powerful Entrance
We were proud to add these juggernauts to the ShearForce family this summer! The SM610 nitrogen-fired breaker for excavators 48-80 tons is the newest edition to our fleet of demolition tools. These hammers hit just as hard as our regular SM Series with added safety features including adjustable double speed stroke system, anti-blank fire, and auto shut off system. Ready to make a serious impact! Watch the SM610 on a Volvo EC480E excavator as it demolishes a reinforced concrete foundation dockside in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
TinBin Attachment Offers Alternative to Vacuum Suction Truck Services
This year we learned how to turn an excavator into a suction truck with the Tinbin TC2 dry vac excavator attachment. It rotates to get into those tight spots unreachable to a hydro-vac truck and allows you to dump excavated materials right on site and avoid slurry disposal charges. Our first customers include rail contractors and civil contractors aiming to excavate in delicate areas close to underground utilities. Watch the TinBin at work on our website.
Xcentric Ripper Makes an Impact in Deep Foundational Excavation
When one of our excavation contractor customers hit a bank of sandstone on their construction site on Burnaby Mountain in the Lower Mainland this spring, they called us right away to explore their options to ensure their project stayed on track. We recommended bringing in the Xcentric Ripper on our CAT 330F rental excavator for a short-term rental. Xcentric Rippers are ideal tools for quickly excavating and separating fractured or softer materials like sandstone. The contractor was impressed by the production volumes they were able to achieve with the hydraulic ripper tearing big chunks of material where a hammer could not.
ShearForce Flail Mowers Clear the Way on Small Machines
Our excavator-mounted flail mowers hit the scene this spring and have been put to work mowing tall grasses and cutting twigs and brush. It can capably operate in locations that are inaccessible to conventional mowers and tractors, including steep slopes, river banks and dikes, and hilly areas. We carry four models to fit carriers 1.7-15 tons. Watch video of the flail mower at work!
Simex TF1100 Rotary Cutter at Work Profiling Secant Pilings
Simex rotary cutters are ideal for trench cutting on hard and compact materials, concrete or rock wall profiling, quarry works, demolition work, and dredging. The dual-head drum cutter features an internal hydraulic piston motor and direct drive rotary cutters for maximum efficiency and minimum non-operational space between cutters. This made it the ideal tool to grind and profile secant pilings. Watch the rotary cutter at work now!
